If you are aged 16 years or
over and would like to be reminded by text of
your forthcoming appointments, please call into the surgery to sign a consent
form.
Routine Appointments NOT required for the same day.
Routine appointments can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance. So if you
know you are going to need an appointment within the next 4 weeks book it as
soon as you can.
To book a routine appointments please telephone where possible between 11.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.
or by calling into the surgery. We will try to fit
you in with your usual General Practitioner. However, if there are no appointments
with your usual GP we may have no choice but to ask you to see another Doctor.
If you cannot keep an appointment please let us know by telephoning
0844 815 15 18 and selecting option 1; wasted appointments mean a longer wait for others.
Bookable on the Day Appointments.
We have a limited number of bookable on the day appointments. This means that from
8.00 a.m. we have a quantity of
appointments available for morning and afternoon on that day.
It does not have to be for an urgent
matter. You can make these appointments by either telephoning or calling into the surgery. Please be aware you will find the telephone lines very
busy during this period. We understand this can be frustrating if you cannot get
through straight away, but be assured that we are manning the telephones
constantly. Remember that these appointments are limited and it is always best
to book in advance whenever possible.
Urgent Appointments.
If your problem is urgent you will be given an urgent appointment for
the surgery that is running at the time.
You may be asked by the Receptionist the nature of your condition/problem so the Receptionist can deal with the
appointment appropriately. Please note that when booking an urgent
appointment you may not get the doctor of your choice.
Home Visits
These should be reserved for patients who are genuinely too ill
to come to the surgery. If you need a home visit, please telephone before
10.30 a.m. on the day the visit is required. The receptionist will
require details of the patient and the problem so that the doctor can
assess the priority of the call.
